It is mandatory that you separate newspaper, cans and glass from your garbage and place them out for collection in your blue recycling box on your recycling day and that you place designated plastics in the special clear plastic bag that you have been provided with out for collection on your recycling day. Failure to comply with the above regulations, may result in the rest of your garbage not being collected.
You must place all household batteries (radio, flashlight, hearing aid, calculator, power for toys, etc.) that you wish to dispose of in a small clear plastic bag next to your blue recycling box on your recycling day. To dispose of car batteries or propane tanks, call 223-3207 to make arrangements for pickups. Failure to comply with this regulation, may result in the rest of your garbage not being collected.
To obtain additional clear plastic bags, call 223-3207 or place the bag replacement tag on the outside of your last bag.
If you are one of the many residents of Sanitary District No.2 who is already complying with this request, please accept our grateful appreciation and disregard this letter.
DO NOT DONATE MONEY TO ANYONE WHO COMES TO YOUR DOOR CLAIMING CREDIT FOR RECYCLING IN DISTRICT NO.2.
