Attention Residents! Update to Recycling Information
Please note that Sanitary District No. 2 is expanding our recycling program. In addition to cardboard, ALL plastics will now be recycled. Please DO NOT use cardboard boxes to contain refuse.

How to Prepare the Item for Collection
All rigid plastic items can be recycled. Rigid plastic items include food and non-food containers such as soda bottles, milk containers, laundry products, water/juice bottles, liquor bottles, person care items, plastic caps, plastic utensils and lids. Please rinse all residues from and flatten the item being discarded. Bulk plastic items such as large plastic toys, plastic buckets, and plastic yard furniture are now also acceptable.
Items NOT to Include
Non-rigid plastics including Styrofoam, foam egg cartons, foam packing peanuts, flexible frozen food or meat trays, plastic grocery bag, six pack holders and rings, plastic shower curtains. Plastic containers used for motor oil, paint, corrosive chemicals, solvents and lawn care products.
