The Baldwin community was busy on Saturday, October 20 cleaning up some important areas. Sanitary District No 2 was fortunate to have over a dozen Sanitation Workers volunteer to assist in two large clean ups. The District began at the Milburn Creek from Atlantic Avenue through to Merrick Road. Volunteers painted over graffiti, cut back the over grown weeds, painted the bridges, removed debris and rubbish from the water ways and the park paths. It was a very successful day. It was a pleasure to work with the Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Baldwin Civic Association, the Baldwin High School Clubs and with Assemblyman Brian Curran’s office who organized the event.
